Sensei Gary Stewart founded his first Dojo in 1988.  For the past 18 years, Westminster Karate Club has been based at St Andrew’s Youth Club in central London.  Westminster Karate club is very well established and its outstanding reputation is as strong, if not stronger, now as when the club began.  The club is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Westminster SKC celebrates the 25th anniversary with 22 medals.
In the celebration of the 25th anniversary Westminster Shotokan Karate Club achieved the best participation ever competing at the JKA National Championships : 11 Gold medals, 6 Silver medals and 5 Bronze medals.
This recent achievements rank the club as one of the most successful karate clubs in England. These fantastic achievements of the Westminster SKC team was the culmination of a long year of hard training.
At a senior level Westminster Club achieved gold medals in several categories: Kumite Male Division A, Kumite Male Division B, Mixed Team Kata, Mixed Team Kumite and Male Kata (16 to 20 yrs old). Read more...
